I am a UK-trained consultant dermatologist. I studied medicine at University College London where I was also awarded a first class honours degree in Physiology and Pharmacology. I have been practicing dermatology since 2003 which has included training at a number of London’s teaching hospitals including Bart’s Health, Hammersmith & Ealing, Chelsea & Westminster and University College Hospitals. I have also gained specialist skin cancer experience at the Melanoma Unit at RPAH, Sydney Australia.
My dermatology training included a PhD study at QMUL exploring the early changes in skin cancer development and impact of common treatments. I have also held the prestigious post of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR)-funded Academic Clinical Lecturer at QMUL during which I explored ways of improving education and early recognition of skin cancers. There is more information on my published scientific papers, reviews and case studies here.
I am currently the lead clinician for skin cancer services and dermatology teaching lead at Homerton University Hospital. I am an active member of the British Association of Dermatologists Skin Cancer Prevention Committee and British Society for Skin Care of Immunocompromised Individuals (BSSCII). I have completed a Masters in Medical Education and am Local Training Lead for Dermatology in North East London. I am also extensively involved in training doctors and students in the latest advances in dermatology through the British Association of Dermatologists and the British Medical Association.
I have over 15years experience in all aspects of general dermatology in adults and children and consult on all aspects of skin disease including moles, skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, genital skin, hair and allergy.
